Pierre-Yves earned a Master’s Degree in Management (1984) and an MBA in Financial Management from EMLyon Business School.
He held the position of auditor and then CFO in various IT services companies at Atos, when it was known as the Sligos Group.
He then served as Managing Director of MJ Informatique, a French holding entity of a dozen companies specialising in software publishing, IT services, training and distribution.
In 1992 he founded Euro Fi Conseils, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm specialised in the IT sector, which was ranked Number 1 in its field in France in 1999 by Capital Finance magazine. The company joined the Apax Partners Group in mid-1999 and Pierre-Yves became a partner director of Apax Partners & Cie Finance. He was responsible for the information and technologies sector within the merchant bank and advised a large number of managers on their strategy for expansion in France and Europe.
As of the mid-2000s he was Chairman of Access2Net, an investment fund specialised in enterprise software, where he remains Chairman of the Board. He founded APM in 2005.
